I did this around Thanksgiving. And for most of it we 3-manned it.
Only 2 quests in Shadowmoon did we actually need 5 people, and we
found 2 people who also happened to need those quests.
Since then I have also knocked out a bunch of dungeon quests too. My
quest log has dwindled. After last week, I have 5 non-daily quests in
my log. One is a dungeon quest for Shadow Labs. Turns out, you can't
complete this quest on heroic. Which really sucks because the only
time I have done SL since I got that quest, it was the daily heroic
quest. I have 3 heroic dungeon quests from the Naaru in Shattrath. I
completed part of one when I did heroic SL. I've attempted heroic SH
for one of the other quests but had a very poor group that didn't even
make it to the first boss. The other instances I have never even
attempted on heroic yet. Then I have one group quest up in Skettis.
I have a few of the time lost pages I need to start one of the events,
but not enough to do even 1 of them yet. I never see people looking
for a group for that quest either. And I never spend much time
farming the pages, which I would need to do the quest.
But to the OP, when you hit honored with Skyguard, it opens up a
flight path from Skettis to Ogrila, but as far as I know, does not
open up any of the daily quests there in Ogrila, even the Skyguard
quests since those award Ogrila rep. The group quest chain leading up
to it is pretty easy. In fact, you can "solo" parts of it. There are
3 quests to obtain 3 items from 3 gronn, 1 in the hills above
shattrath, and the other 2 in Blade's Edge. The quest isn't to
actually kill the gronn, its to get the item, and the item isn't
looted from the gronn either. When someone kills the gronn, he drops
the item on the ground, and anyone around can loot it. So, if you
hang out near the gronn locations long enough, you'll eventually see a
group down the gronn, and you can swoop in and loot the item you need
without actually harming anybody, though I am sure the group that did
all the work would be a little upset that you benefitted from their
effort. After that phase of quests though you do have to actually
kill a few 5-man mobs, so you would need a group for that. Keep your
LFG tool running while you play for your 1-2 hours a day and
eventually you will get lucky and pick up a group.
