I'm looking at the Q-bert remake for various CD-basd game systems.
It says there is a classic mode.

Is this arcade perfect translation? Is it at least
better than the NES Q-Bert? Does classic mode have to be unlocked?

The PSX and Dreamcast versions have the exact arcade game.

The PC version OTOH has the arcade game, but uses 3D graphics and
animations in place of the orginal ones. Having said that, it still
plays exactly like the coin-op... Wink

I'd skip them and get the coleco tabletop unit. That rocks.

Maybe I'll get the dreamcast version. It will give my dreamcast
something to do (after sitting in a box for the past 9 months.)

Thank you for the info.

Replying to the original post, the PSX Q*bert has the arcade-perfect
version. I'm pretty sure the Dreamcast version doesn't have it, only a
prettier version of the newer Q*bert game. Thus ... get the PSX version!
