So I've been playing for nine months and I have about 23 million bells in
the bank.
How much to you have?
Has anyone gotten the Post Office Model?
Just curious,
Ann.

I have around 18 million.

I got it for my secondary town by cheating, I don't have the patience to
try and do it legitimately!

I've only got 1/2 of that. I have thought about a serious run on the
"stalk market", though. I think you have to go to 100M next. >> Stay informed about: Bells in the Bank? |

The only problem with the "stalk market" is how tedious it is to stand there
and buy each group of 100. I always say that I'm going to buy 3 sets of 15
each Sunday, but I get bored after the first set.
Here's my goal: Picman 2 should be out by September at least (although it
has been delayed many times). I started playing last September, so that will
be an entire year and I should have every bug and fish by then. I figured
out that I would have to make about 6.5 million bells PER WEEK between now
and September to get the Post Office Model (which should, at that point, be
my last model, too). There is no way I have the time or the patience to make
6.5 MILLION bells PER WEEK.
Ooops. I'm capitalizing wordss so I must be a little stressed over this
game. What do I do when I'm stressed...let me see...oh yes! I play Animal
Crossing!
See ya.

Yes, I agree, it is a little boring. You can in most weeks some close to
making 10x on your bells (especially if you have a second or third town to
look for good prices). You can just load up completely with money, and
then go to Joan and buy loads, stopping to dump the full inventory on the
ground every now and then, until you have spent it all. Then make several
trips back home to carry the goods. I think I'll stick with the piggy
bank and tissues. I still want to get that banded dragonfly, summer is
drifting into view. >> Stay informed about: Bells in the Bank? |

Right now I have about 95 million bells in the bank, but that comes
from like three towns and ten or so characters funneling all of their
money into one main character, it is a bit of a racket and can be
pretty time consuming, but it is the way that has worked for me so
far.

Wow! I am so impressed! You are so close to the Post Office Model! How long
have you been playing?
I use the same strategy of multiple characters in multiple towns funneling
to one main character.

I believe my wife and I have been playing for almost two years.
Everytime I think I won't play it anymore I get the urge to start a
new town. Right now we have 5 towns with 13 characters so there is
room for improvement. I am hoping to start playing a little more so I
can hit that 100 million bell mark, I would love to get to the 999
million mark, but I can not imagine playing that much.

Is there a special prize for 999 million? (please say "no" so I won't have
to go for it!)

at 100 million bells I think you get the post office model, at 999
million bells you get a mailbox or something like that, i am not
actually sure if it is functional or if it is just decorative. good
luck!

Rumor is you get Super Mario Bros. but the only people I've heard of who've
gotten that much in the bank used cheat devices to get it, so that may not
happen under normal circumstances.
