There has recently been a discussion about Ion cannons and range.
Now I am playing in a game where Ion cannons have a larger range then
usual. Can someone give me a hint how to test the outcome of a battle?

When I use Diplomat it uses current host or is there a seitch for the
ion cannon range and other factors?

Diplomat runs host in a subdirectory called sim with a game called sim.
If you put in a sim.fig in the subdirectory it will be used for diplomat
generated games and thus for your diplomat combat sims. You can create
such .fig file by creating a new game and simply copy the gamename.fig
file from UNIV or WAR dir (don't remember where exactly it is). Edit it
with notepad.exe.
