I probably won't be getting one, but it looks to me, like that would be
a good candidate for magnetically swappable bits.

It is - I've got mine set up with swappable main barrel and sponsons
weapons, and the side panels and sponsons are interchangeable too. Very easy
to magnetise it for all the different options in the Baneblade and
Hellhammer datasheets.
