Is it? I played through BG1 with TotSC and I don't think I ever had
more than about four things on the go at any one time. It's pretty hard
to trigger a large number of quests *without* finishing others off,
unless you deliberately avoid stuff.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question though - I played
through BG1/TotSC using BGTutu, so I had the BG2 journal engine.
