Fillet steak - I don't think so ...Planescape was not overpriced
tasteless steak (normally covered in some silly sauce so that you don't
notice) whose only virtue is that it's tender. A well aged Rump steak,
that would be more like it.

To this day, baldur's gate is the most enjoyable computer game I have
ever played. SHADOWS wasn't as enjoyable, though still great. I was
never able to win the last fight, however, as you're not alowed to sleep
and regain spells. >> Stay informed about: Baldur's Gate II vs. Planescape: Torment |

Since I think the way lobsters are cooked is inhuman, I'll go with Torment,
thank you very much. (Does that make any sense? Or is Torment supposed to
be the lobster here?)

I'd definitelly go with bananas. Does Torment count as a banana?

In what way? It had its share of wierd loopholes (you could do some pretty
freaky stuff with (limited) wish), but I never saw much of a mess. >> Stay informed about: Baldur's Gate II vs. Planescape: Torment |

Odd, that fight has never been an issue for me. Hell, there are people who
play solo mages and do it with just the main character and no party. Last
battle is just a couple of demons that die quickly enough with competant
melee, and then it's just an issue of breaking through Slayer/Irenicus'
magical defenses.
Actually, it's easier with a mage character, if you get an 18 wisdom, then
you can really abuse the hell out of the Wish spell as far as resting goes.
Hell, there have been a number of player mods made to inject some serious
difficulty into these sorts of fights. >> Stay informed about: Baldur's Gate II vs. Planescape: Torment |

My most enjoyable was Baldur's Gate, with the Tales of the Sword Coast
expansion. I also gave BG II: SoA a try (OK, several tries! *L*), but
never got all the way through it. I don't recall where the last game I
played left off, as it was a few years ago on a friend's computer. I
saved the needed game files, though, in case I'm ever able to obtain a
copy of the game for Mac OS 9.2.2 (my friend had a Windows box).
What was it about the combat system that was so bad?

Well, since I finished Torment twice and never finished BG2 I guess you have
my vote.
