Reinstalled everything over the past 2-3 days and have just tried
flying into VOMM. Back-course onto Rwy07 worked fine (I 'celebrated'
by spending the whole day today fully updating an old FS2000 scenery
for Chennai airport, VOMM for FS9: will upload it to AVSIM sometime
when I am happy with it).

In the end reinstalled all my rubbish payware aircraft too (see
earlier post!) - I don't have to fly them if they give me grief I
suppose. I'll see how it goes over the next few days, but I don't feel
too confident at this earlt stage, I must admit!

You probably had some problems (I did not follow ng),
but couldn't you start w out of box FS9.1?

If, they're rubbish, why do you use them anymore?

I fly Shefield's B737 and (~2MB) Mike Stone's A380-100 .zip version.
All sliders almost full, FPS at 27%.
And yes, FS Nav 8.1. The machine is from Dec 2004.

SOME freeware Europe district area sceneries (Balkanmesh, incl).
Wherever i go, the good old ERJGrab4.02 is final alternation Wink

Anyway, You had a good opportunity to isolate the problem,
probably some scenery issues...
