Tried to run a dedicated server last night, but I only got it working
locally. Two questions:

1) Which ports are exactly needed for BFV - I have searched the net and
found different and numeruos UDP and TCP ports for this.

2) The server is on a local LAN with a nated, local IP (10.10.10.10). It
gets listed on the gamespy list with this local IP. If I change the IP in
the BFV dedicated server GUI to manually use the public IP, the battlefield
server will not start. My guess is that it tries to contact its public IP
and fails (because my firewall does not allow access access to and from the
same interface when addresseing the public IP). Is my hunch correct, and how
can I solve this? Is there a way to let BFV server report public IP, but use
local IP?

Regards, Lars.

Same ports as for 1942.

Be careful, the "ports lists" are often a combination of the outbound on the
client (which most people don't need) and the server ports.

I think there is a set of four ports needed on the server. That's it.

Depending on what type of firewall you are using, outbound ports are
probably not an issue at all.

It's the inbound translated ports (port forwarding to your server) you need.
It should be a short list. Look up the instructions for the BF command
control client (that program everyone was using to control a server) and it
tells you what to do.
