Is it true that Dice "forgot" to add recoil to this weapon? It just
seems ridiculously accurate in 3-round burst mode, M16A2 isn't nearly as
accurate even if their statistics seem to be almost identical.

There is recoil on it. (Not much.) There are stats on the coded details of
each weapon out there, try wikipedia or bf2s.com.

There are some cost/benefits to all the unlocked weapons, and the G36E has
the highest benefit of all the unlocks, with basically beign "not full auto"
the only minor drawback.

IRL, it IS a formidable assault rifle with low recoil.... so, a good reason
to get SF so you can get it too. Smile

Some of the AK variants are better than the unlocks in my opinion though.
