BF1942 and BF2

Hello Soldiers,

I have /play Battlefield 1942 for quite some time now, and yes also got
FH... (like that best) I dont like the modern stuff like rockets,
automated choppers etc etc...

But,,, well, because i'm in for a change i'm thinking at buying BF2....

so here are some questions:

Is it still great to play a sniper in BF2??
Will i get conflicts with my BF1942 installation ??

Thank for the input,

Can you (or someone else..?? )) tell me something about
battlegroup1942??? does that one conflicts with BF1942?? and is it
realistic to play??? heavy as ForgotenHope ??
