BF Vietnam multiplayer vehicles on single player

bf vietnam - hi, having a new rig around i bf vietnam and patched it to 1.2 (full patch). still when trying to play online it says itīs the wrong version. i have searched around but can not find any new patch nor does any take place. any idea..

Is this possible?
It would be OK if I could just get the Cedar Falls or like map (with
the OH-6, A1, etc.).

That's all well and good, but flying around in a helicopter with two
chain guns and nothing to shoot can get annoying.

One option would be to host a local "LAN game" (multiplayer -> start
local). You won't get any bot opponents (they're not much fun anyway)
but you will have the vehicles for practice.

Probably too late for this, never seen until now, but there is an option
when creating an LAN game called Co-Op, select it and you get bots... Smile

When I do that, however, I lose all the multiplayer maps and the
option to create a custom game.

Yep, that's one draw back, you lose all the dedicated multiplayer maps that
have not been setup for bots and custom game, not much can do about that...
