So... do we have a rough idea yet who is going to be in what versions?
Are you surviving r.g.v.s folk leaning more towards the PS2/PC route,
or the 360 route?
My plan right now is to pick up the 360 version day one, and stick with
that unless something major sends me running to the other versions. (Or
if, by chance, the 360 version ends up horribly delayed compared to the
other two.) If any of you are also planning to play via the 360 rev,
let me know. Or, you know, even if you aren't but still have a 360, you
can still add me as a friend. My gamertag is "pikoeri" - just be sure
to write me a note when sending me the friend request so that I know
who you are.
I'm getting excited to get back to running around with some of the old
crew again, so hope to see some of you in the game.

I'm personally leaning towards the PS2 version, but only because it's not
tied down with all of the Xbox Live nonsense. If ever I want to play ten
years from now, the PS2 version may end up being more accessible than the
360 version.

I read that as 'pikiero' which may have implications beyond my
understanding. Expect a note.
-KKC, who bought Suikoden V again by mistake. Hey, can I trade this in
towards a copy of Suikoden II please?

Remember that there's a whole separate single-player RPG that isn't
duplicated by the online experience. So the way I'm looking at it, the $50
is for the adventure of Ethan Weber, and the online game is a nice bonus
feature. I know that's now how the software is being marketed, but if you
compare it other RPG titles with both offline and online functions, it's
not a bad value.
Sega pretty well spoiled us when they made the American and European
versions of PSO free to start with. Yes, it was a good way to build up a
userbase, but it also set up some pretty high expectations. At least
they're not selling sandwich and shoe advertisements in the game to pay
for the servers.

Whoa! Nice to see you man! I'm leaning towards the PS2/PC
version currently, mostly because I have no idea when or if I'll buy a
360 (which I would prefer, by far). If, on the other hand, MS got off
their duffs and got the BC list to include Sega's Xbox titles, I could
trade my Xbox and start to consider the upgrade more seriously. As for
the PC vs PS2, I'll have to see how it runs on the PS2. If it runs
like, say, Shadow of the Colossus, I'll be looking to hook up my PC with
its first RPG.

Yeah, that's a good call, and I often times forget about the supposed 40 hour offline
game that's going to be in it. I guess all those years of the "offline" game in PSO
made me kind of sour to it all.
Others though, like WoW, which have absolutely no offline game...I still stand by my
thoughts of the software being free.

With Sega though, you begin to question what your $10 is being spent on when they do
almost nothing with the server. Barely any PK protection, downloadble quests, etc.
It's like we're handing them $10 just for the privilege of playing, you know? Well,
at least with the PSO titles across DC/GC/PC/Xbox. PSU may be different, we'll see...

I don't know, I wouldn't mind that...especially if they only did it in the lobbies.
Hell, BK is going so far as to actually release *3 Xbox/360* games which are
basically polygon advertisements that people will pay for(including myself, that
Sneak King is just too good to pass up, as do the others).
