Think you can download it from Atari's website.

Ah...I *knew* there now was a 'hold your breath' control, but it never
occured to me that this might be it. Really, I'm still fumbling through the
controls...I'll have to actually RTFM at one point...imagine that...

I have an X2 4800+ and 2GB as well, and I find the framerate still sucks at
800x600, even keeping the rather low defaults the game auto-picks. If I can
count the frames, I'm not gonna bother keeping this card. It just takes the
fun out of the game. >> Stay informed about: ArmA... |

I am running at 12**X960 with no real probs. I am also using the
visibility settings at about 3500m. What settings do you have in your
advanced tab. Also, what are your settings in the nVidia properties.
If you would like, feel free to email me directly, and maybe we can hook
up on a ventrilo server, or I could even call you directly on a land
line to help you get the settings done up right on your system. You can
reply by hiding the body

Well, one way or another, I've already talked myself into replacing my video
card. Crysis will demand it anyway, plus I already have a couple of
games that could benefit from a faster card.
As for my Advanced settings...everything is set to either the default the
game chose, or to something I've reduced myself. As it stands, everything's
on 'normal', except for Post-processing Effects (currently on 'low') and
Antialiasing (currently disabled). Ever since I've had a card capable of
antialiasing I've always disabled it because of the associated framerate
hit.
The visibility is set to 1200m. I've just noticed that 'quality preference'
is set to high (I haven't changed this from the default). I'll try it at
normal or low and see what happens.
[Edit--oh, I see...this changes automatically based on your selections from
the bottom part of the screen...wow, everything set to Normal resolves to
Quality Preference set to High? Odd...]
And as for the Nvidia properties...again, I've either always kept the driver
defaults, or lowered them. Under the "Performance and Quality Settings"
entry, everything's set to Application-controlled, except for Image
Settings, which is set to Quality (I guess I'll try reducing that)...
....and just to point out the obvious, I'm using the 93.71 drivers, which I
believe is the latest 'official' available drivers for my 6600GT. >> Stay informed about: ArmA... |

Everything looks good, but the drivers, they are too new for the card,
believe it or not. The newest drivers that produce the best results are
the 78.01. Get this, use the overclocking capability and crank it up
slowly until you get the total package you want. I have the XFX, and it
is set to 544 Mhz for the core clock frequency, and 1.09 GHz for the
Memroy clock frequency.
These settings work awesome for me, and without artifacts, but you can
always adjust to your own preferences. Hope this helps you out, I would
like to hear that you can enjoy the game at least until you get your new
vid card.

Too late. The game's now running on an 8800GTS 320, and runs just fine
at my monitor's native 1280x1024.
The thing that blows me away though is that even this card stutters a bit
when either looking through a scope or lying down in a grassy area...though
disabling anti-aliasing seems to take care of that problem...for the most
part... >> Stay informed about: ArmA... |

Well...to be perfectly honest I don't have another machine with a PCI
Express slot. When I do get another machine though I'll probably want to
put this card back in it, so there's little point in trying to sell
it...especially considering how little they seem to be able to fetch on
Ebay... >> Stay informed about: ArmA... |
