Arathi Basin?

Any other quests to do there? For a humble Priest?

I found killing some of the level 30 creatures gives me about 400xp.
I actually did some grinding and was up half a level in about an hour!

However when 3 Syndicate or Spiders on me...game over.....

Arathi Basin is one of three "battlegrounds", which are areas where you
can fight other players in the game. You can get a quest to assault the
different sections of AB, but other than that the purpose is for fun,
earning honor, doing PvP, etc. It's not a real zone like Elwynn Forest
or Mulgore, for example.

Hammerfall is a Horde town in Arathi Highlands, so yeah, stay away!
The guards will spot you and chase you down. And if you are flagged for
PvP, Horde players might come after you too.

Also, the battlegrounds are arranged in "brackets", so that levels 10-19
appear in one instance, 20-29 in another, etc. It helps to do them when
you are higher in your range.

And to answer your other question, you will not lose any gold or items
by fighting other players.

15 alliance Vs 15 Horde.....normally

Horde Base in Arathi Highlands
Stick as close to Refuse Point as you can

Arathi Basin is one of the PvP battle grounds. The quest is Blizzards way
of introducing you to PvP. Go on in if you want. You won't get equipment
damage since you're going to be killed by other players. But at 31st
level, your also not likely to last very long before being killed by some
39th level twink running around in blues and purples. In fact, you'll
be killed multiple times by multiple players in very quick succession. But
do it anyway, you will get PvP credits that you can use to purchase equipment.
And when you reach a "9" level (39, 49, ...) you'll be at the top of the
bracket where you can be the one doing the killing instead of being the one
killed.

And Hammerfall is the Horde outpost in highland that has the horde flight
point. The flight point for the Alliance is Refuge Pointe. And yes, if you're
low level alliance and you get too close to Hammerfall, then the hammer will
fall upon you and you'll be making a corpse run very soon after. Same thing
happens to horde who wander too close to refuge pointe.

Nah, once you're 70, you could probably go back and decimate the entire
town of Hammerfall, guards and all. At least for a short while.

Yep. Provided you use the original definition of decimate (kill 1 in 10).
Hammerfall is pretty important to some of use horde characters. Guess where
we go to learn Artisian First Aid? Followed of course by heavy mageweave
and runecloth bandages. Add in the flight point, and the quest givers and
plenty of high level horde can arrive quickly to take care of any interlopers.

I had a similar experience with my alliance hunter. Wandering the shores of
Stranglethorn Vale and wandered too close to Grom'Gol. Yep, those horde
guards are QUICK. Almost before I knew it, I was dead. I then stayed a very
respectfull distance from there in the future.

Most of the quests there are for the mid to higher range of your 30s, so
you might want to come back. That's Horde, at least, I don't remember
for Alliance.

grom'gol is also the place a lot of level 70s appear on their way to
karazhan... be careful
