Gallimaufry (hero, claw/regen) hit 40 yesterday and underwent her next
metamorphosis.
Last week I noticed I had an arc open on one the previous tier of
contacts (Jose Escalante - Sky Raiders) and doing those netted me the
draconic wings recipe.

After re-doing the whole cohtest thing I copied over and tried them and
rather liked the effect.

So after all those visits to Oranbega and exposure to all those
Devouring Earth chemicals, the lizard portion has asserted itself more
and the wings have changed to draconic.

Quite a nice effect with a green glowing aura and the freebird stealth
effect.
The mottling on the draconic wings actually goes quite well with the
rest of the look.

I had actually changed the aura color a couple of times, from green
(line 7) to blue-green (line Cool and finally to the brownish-yellowish
color (line 4)

Finally did the photobucket thing, so:
Two side views in Dark Astoria, no powers active.

http://s193.photobucket.com/albums/z74/Xocyll/?action=view&current=pic2.jpg

Top down view hovering with freebird stealth on. Also shows my funky
GUI layout.
http://s193.photobucket.com/albums/z74/Xocyll/?action=view&current=pic4b.jpg

It's 4b because I had to resize it since I play in 1280x1024 bug
photobucket only seems to allow 1024x768 as max size

Even though you emailed your screenshot to me I never did figure out
how you get that netgraph thing in the bottom of your HUD.

Congratulations on the look and the wings.

Thanks.
I actually dropped the aura a couple of shades last night to make it
less obscuring, looks a bit better to me.

The netgraph thing is a slash command.
/netgraph 1

I have it bound on f9 along with the fps command and close info window
command. The info command is bound to f8 (shows the bio of any person
you have targeted.) I got tired of clicking on the little red x to
close the info window so I just added the command onto f9.

F8 "info"
F9 "netgraph 1 $$ showfps 1 $$window_toggle info"

The only function key that isn't different from the default is f10 being
the battlecry, only I directly bind a saying to it instead of using the
tiny space they provide.

f1-f7 use specific kinds of inspirations
f11 is the mission exit command
f12 reloads binds from the specific file for that character (it's far
easier editing the file in notepad, saving then f12ing it into use
instead of typing /bind blah, especially for long, multi-function binds
like the ones on f1-f7.

The main reason for the odd GUI (it's different than the one I mailed
you before) is experimentation with things to reduce lag.
I figured that fewer windows could help in certain circumstances (like
groups fighting a Giant Monster, so I shifted things around to leave the
windows that wouldn't be removed to be grouped better where I'd be
looking.
The h key is bound to close the 4 chat sub-windows and enhancement bar:
H "window_toggle chat1 $$ window_toggle chat2 $$ window_toggle chat3 $$
window_toggle chat4$$ window_toggle enhancements"

Ahh what the hell I'll show the inspiration f-key binds
F1 "inspexec_name resurgence$$inspexec_name Dramatic
Improvement$$inspexec_name respite"
F2 "inspexec_name second wind$$inspexec_name take a
breather$$inspexec_name catch a breath"
F3 "inspexec_name phenomenal luck$$inspexec_name Good
Luck$$inspexec_name luck"
F4 "inspexec_name righteous rage$$inspexec_name focused
rage$$inspexec_name enrage"
F5 "inspexec_name uncanny insight$$inspexec_name keen
insight$$inspexec_name insight"
F6 "inspexec_name robust$$inspexec_name rugged$$inspexec_name sturdy"
F7 "inspexec_name robust$$inspexec_name emerge$$inspexec_name break
free"

Due to the way coh deals with multiple commands in one bind (only does
the last one,) these will use the weakest kind first, or the medium one
if there is none of the weakest, or the best kind if no weakest or
medium is available.

Don't have to sort the inspirations in the window since it uses them
directly instead of just taking the bottom one of whatever column the
original binds link to.
Easier to remember that f1=heal, f2=endurance, f3=defense, f4=damage,
f5=accuracy, f6=resistance and f7=status resistance

and just for completeness the remaining F-keys:
F10 "local <color green> <bgcolor black> <border #cccc66>Hey $target,
lets play a game. I'll guess what color your insides are, then slash
you open and see if I'm right. Come on, it'll be fun.$$ emote attack"
F11 "requestexitmission 1"
F12 "bindloadfile m:\cohbinds\gallimaufry-hero.txt"

Thanks for sharing your binds I use bind files too but I can't keep
them straight between characters so I use one bind file that works for
most all of my characters.

Except for my Master Minds - controlling their pets requires more
binds than the average toon.

The only confusion I have is when i've reused a name on a different
server but with a different AT or build.

Way back when I made a directory specifically for binds (M:\cohbinds)
and for the most part each bindfile is the name of the character it's
for.

This has actually made it far easier for new characters since I can just
clone whichever bindfile is closest under the new name, edit it for the
f12 bind, then import it to the new character then I can tweak it until
it's perfect for the new build and import it with f12.

Thus the example above being gallimaufry-hero.txt, since there was
already a gallimaufry.txt from the original ss/electric brute.

Since there's no limit on filename (I think), you could extend it to
Charname-server-AT-build.txt to make it easier to tell which is which.

Be hard to mistake Gallimaufry-victory-Scrapper-claw-regen.txt or the
like for another char's bindfile.

Hrm I might do some renaming.

Naming the files after the alt, then writing two binds in each that load
and save the files under that name - not difficult. You can also write a
master bind file that has the common binds, and an individual one for each
alt that just has the specific ones. A little effort in setting them up
means never having to remember which one is which or having an
inappropriate bind set for any alt.
