Thanks for the info

so far i have a hardware firewall wall not software.
adware and spybot run only when i force them. (just
recently before this happened)
av runs all the time and scans every night (no issues
found)

i havnt disabled this as the game plays 3-6 hrs into (with
virus running) before it blanks out.

I am presently runnning the disk cleanup error checking
and defrag. (gonna be a while for that been lax on
running it)

havnt run the win updates but will after defrag and error
check. shouldnt be too much there cause i do that
frequently.

I updated the directx to 9 and the video 3dlabs oxgyn
card.
i am not sure the chipset info needs to be updated
(thought i did that and no patches needed ) but will look
into it and the sound i need to check.

might be a couple days to get the rest done.

as of monday it will still blank out after doing some of
the items in your list.

now it only has done it on 2 games these have been 7-8
players (computer) and 125 population limit. with lots
going on.
