Animal Crossing DS Online - how do you do it?

Hi all,

My mate is gonna be coming round with his DS on Saturday, And last time
we tried we couldn't figure out how to play Animal Crossing online
and get to other people's villages, does anyone know how to do it
please?!

My mate was worried that he will get his character stuck in another
person's village if the wireless connection breaks!

I know this is about a month late but,

(1) You have to have the other persions Friend Code and they have to have
yours in order for you to visit their town. You can't just go to any town
that is open (although it would be nice to have that choice) instead, you
have to exchange friend codes with that person before you try to go online
and enter their town.

(2) You will not get "Stuck" in another town if the connection breaks,
instead the game resets and you loose anything you have done since the last
save and end up back in your bed in your house (and the game showing the
title screen) as if you had just turned the game on.

It used to work good for a long time, but, lately I can't seem to get it to
work for me, so, it may not work now, you will have to check it out and see
if it's working now or not.
