My nice wireless headphones (Sennheiser HDR120) fell off my desk and the
on/off switch broke. Bleah. Fortunately I found a replacement switch and
ordered it from Mouser.com for about a buck. Actually I ordered several.
Might as well, since shipping was $6 already.

In the meanwhile, I've unpacked some weird Logitech headphones that hang
behind the head so the entire time you're wearing them they feel like
they're about to fall off. Yuck.

I have an USB labtech headset here which i actually like, its not
wireless, but the usb extension makes it almost appear to be.

I got tired of getting up from my desk and forgetting to take off the
headphones so the wire would yank at them, so eventually I got the
wireless ones. They're pretty nice but they need a better way to change
out the batteries - they need something like the battery packs that power
portable drills, etcetera only smaller. They automatically normalize the
sound levels but sometimes I wish I could turn that off. Also, the base
quits transmitting after 2 minutes of having no signal from the PC. That
means the headphones play lovely static (or sometimes whatever other RF
stuff is in the air like neighbor phone calls on cheap old 900MHz cordless
phones). I don't know why the base needs to quit transmitting after 2
minutes. 15-20 minutes would be better.

But that's okay since usually my PC is making some kinds of sounds or
talking back to me with it's sexy computer voice.

Wow, that was fast. Ordered the parts yesterday, they arrived today.
Apparently Mouser is located on the other side of the Dallas metroplex. I
never noticed. Smile
