I am well into the game, level 14, and still have an agility of only 34.
I don't seem to be able to figure out how to raise this number very much.
Apparently you need to use marksman, security and sneak.
But don't these take forever, especially if you are not a rogue type?
Is there maybe a target for bows somewhere, where the target
will stay put? >> Stay informed about: Agility in Oblivion |

Well, the mod Kumiko Manor has an archery range that you could use.
It is a fine mod.
Keep in mind that you do not need to boost all your stats up high. >> Stay informed about: Agility in Oblivion |

The Shine of Peryite. There are 5 worshippers there who don't move, and
can't be killed. They remain in that state till your character does the
quest.

Sneak takes very little time and effort to raise, even if it's not a
major skill. Just sneaking in dark areas near rats and mudcrabs can
easily get you to apprentice level. >> Stay informed about: Agility in Oblivion |

Sneak is 'easy' to improve if your sneak is already decent. If you
have very poor sneak, then it can be difficult to get started sneaking
enough to improve.
The best thing about sneaking is that enemies often lose track of you
in a fight.
The worst thing about sneaking is that you will see the world from the
viewing perspective of the Travelocity Gnome. >> Stay informed about: Agility in Oblivion |

When sneaking you must be in a situation where you can avoid avoid
detection. I raised my sneak skill until the level of apprentice
10 levels in the starter dungeon, where I spotted the goblin.
Moving forward until I received the message, retracing my
steps and repeating over and over again - did the trick.
It was as easy as raising your armor skill by letting a
mudcrab hammering away at you.

Thanks for the help again, guys. Sneak is getting kind of fun, even though
still
at level 9 percent. You never know if you are going to reach the monster
for a stealth attack.
And for the marksman, I find that I just need to find someone shooting
arrows
back at me. At least they are still, and I can dodge the arrows sometimes.

Even if your sneak is really poor, it's still easy to improve in the
sewers as long as you're not using a light source. The rats and
mudcrabs there have very poor detection skills, and it's quite dark in
most areas. >> Stay informed about: Agility in Oblivion |

But once you get quite good at sneaking, you can have enemies lose
track of you in the middle of melee combat--especially if it is dark.
and, it is mostly dark where one is fighting. >> Stay informed about: Agility in Oblivion |

Though when it starts improving, it's almost too easy. It was the
first skill I had that hit 100, and almost all of that from "normal"
play (not hours of sneaking practice). The more people, creatures,
and whatnot that you can sneak past the higher the skill
improvements. Thus sneaking in dungeons does a great job
of raising the skill. Once my movement speed was at a
decent rate, I spent most of my time sneaking in dungeons
instead of running... Add a little bit of chameleon ability and
it's almost unbalanced. I don't recommend sneak as a
major skill, even for thief types; it'll make you level up too
fast.
