For nVidia cards 169.21 or later is required. Even for systems with
just a single video card..

Don't have ATi hardware, but likely the latest will be required here
too.

The game startup checks the video driver and stops if not deemed
compatible with the game. Exits with a prompt to install the latest
driver.

Those who are valiantly clinging to their old video drivers look as if
they out of luck. Yet another bunch of folk that may not want to
purchase AoC ??

I still fear that AoC's aggressive technical specs may limit the
game's general appeal. Certainly the game is unlikely to break any
participant-number records. However, it still may be a success. After
all, the number of people that have purchased Crysis are well in
excess of 1 million. If within the first six months after release,
Funcom can gain >500,000 subscribers willing to go beyond the first
free month they probably have a winner on their hands.

.... until the kiddies start cheating, and Mommie is getting
900 Viagra adds a day in her email because the little brat
let Funcom in the door.

Wonder if there is a single-player version that is any good?
I'll watch for it in the cheap bin.

I read it. As soon as I hear about any scams, they
are going in front of a State Attorney General ... like
I am setting up for Jowood.

Since you did not quote the part of my original posting on which you
are commenting, the above text makes no sense at all. You do
understand that you have to encapsulate complete idea-threads
in reply-postings? You have been told that often enough by others on
this newsgroup, haven't you?

The AoC FAQ tells you all. Why not read that first before
spewing your inane comments ??
