I really like the replay, as you can step through it at your own pace
and go back and forth. Something like Combat Mission. Yes you can
have units die and not be able to tell what killed them, even in the
replay. It's a matter of recon level, make sure you include scouts or
armored cars near the front to be able to see the offending units.
Most of the time I skip it since I'm just beginning and just trying to
get the feel of the game. And yes, there is a lot of information
stowed away all over the place!
