Ultima 9 = Ultima 8a

Here's a weird thought I had for an Ultima 9 mod...
It's really Ultima 8-Alternative. You see, it's a sequel to the other
ending of Ultima 7, where the Avatar goes through the Black Gate
instead of destroying it.
And that isn't Blackthorn, it's Batlin. Then you just need to clean
out the museum, rip down the Tapestry of The Ages, and make all of
Britannia have a burning hatred for that traitor, the Avatar, and
you're all set.
Call it: Ultima 8A: Redemption...

I remember reading a thread saying how Ultima IX could be Ultima VII.
That is, if U7/8 never happened, U9 story would somehow
make a lot more sense.

Besides, the shrine cleansing thing is very reminiscent of the second
trilogy.
