Sounds kind of strange to me. I would get on the "Best Electronics" or B&C
Computers" websites and ask them. They do repair on any Atari item.

Problem fixed. It was a short circuit on the motherboard with or
around the colour pot. I resoldered the motherboard connections to the
pot, and spun the pot a few times to clean out any oxidization and the
colour is restored. Seems this type of problem can develop because the
motherboard is gently flexed when cartridges are inserted and removed.
