75% of my spells vanished

Actually the list is All Spells, Ranged Spells, Touch Spells, Self
Spells, Current Effects.

If you realises it in time (before you overwrite the
quicksave or autosave files a second
time) you can always exit the game, and in the
save-game folder restore the over-written
files by renaming them and change the BAK-extension
to the normal ess-extension
Then they will show up in the load menu, where you
can fix them permanently (if that is
what you want) by savung them as a new save-game.
You can put them into sequence
by editing the save #'s on this and the following
games
