See, Wizard's Goons *are* coming to take our 3.5 books...

*grabs his pistol and his PHB*

Let them come! I shall defend my edition unto death!

Ed obviously realizes he is talking to an Ubi from an alternate timeline.

Ubi *is* an alternate timeline.

All I got to say is this: Given the changes in the OGL, Given the
changes that I've already seen. Given the books I already have.

Forget it. I'm done buying books. Worse case scenario, I'll go back to
Advanced D&D or GURPS.

Just stick to 3.5. I've already started to pick up books (used and new)
that others have gotten rid of as 4E nears. I plan on continuing to do
so until I have my 3.5 (or even 3.0) library bending my bookshelves.

In my area (Sacramento, CA), gaming shops appear less likely to buy more
recent publications than older/vintage stuff. Too bad I 86ed nearly all
my 2E material when 3e came out (D'oh!). Nearly as bad was when I was
living in England and desperately in need of raising some cash. I sold
five 3e books to a book shop for the price of one new one. I'm
interested now in selling all the 3.5e (and the few 3e) books I have for
which I have .pdf versions, to relieve myself of the bulk, as the
content is the only component to which I assign any value. As for
playing, I'm sticking with 3.5e for the foreseeable future, unless and
until I find something sufficiently compelling/superior about 4e rules
(haven't really checked out the changes from 3.5e yet).
