My bud just quit gaming tonight... what about you guys... - Found out tonight a buddy of mine just decided to quit the gaming scene. He doesn't blame games for anything, as it made him a lot of friends that otherwise he might end his life he said. Hell, just last month I remember him talking about Saturn..

wow, did I really get THAT good a deal?? - Picked up at a flea market today: Chiki Chiki Boys Shadown Dancer General Chaos All complete for $20. One guy just told me online that GC complete alone goes for about 20 -- is he kidding?! Wow, funny thing is, I almost passed. I wanted to buy SNES..

CDX: Certain games won't play? - 'ello all, During some over at SegaFans, it was brought up that the CDX won't play certain SCD games. there's a list floating around out there(may be an official list, may just be not sure) that has around 6 titles on..

These are some of my ideas. - Hey Everyone, I would like to see more strategic games that aren't just base. It would be good to have the abiltity to also fight in planes. Also it would be good to be able to travel from planet to planet not just an bound game!! ..

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July.. Anybody get any good gaming in?

I continued making my paces with Capcon Classics Collection and played
a whole bunch of Mercs. The game certainly is fun... Feels a bit like
Ikari Warriors, Heavy Barrel, Rambo 3, Shock Troopers, Commando (it's
predecessor) all rolled together. Quite a fun game, and it features
3-player cooperative, which would probably make it even more fun.. It
sure feels real short though (man, Ikari Warriors and Heavy Barrel
seemed like they went on forever and ever, although I haven't really
played those in years)..

The *ONLY* thing that keeps this game from being what I would deem a
"Must-Have" is the control. Man! This thing is just *BEGGING* for that
rotate-joystick (dual analog) targetting type control a la Heavy
Barrel/Ikari Warrors/Forgotten Worlds!! As it stands, you basically
fire in the direction you're facing. This makes for some really hairy
boss-battles! If it had that multi-directional targeting, it would
almost satisfy my Ikari Warriors fix and would be gaming bliss! Razz

Still, despite that, it's all in all a very fun game. I recommend
everyone give it a go. Definitely would probably be a blast with 3
player simulatenous play going. Nice mindless destruction!

Now to go dig up Rambo 3 and Shock Troopers Smile

rambo 3 on the genesis was an awesome game--a little on the short side,
however.

the sega master system rambo 3 shooting gallery game was pretty cool,
too.

Yeah, just a bit...but I think that can be forgiven based on how fun
the game actually is. I *love* the boss battles, where you get to shoot
them with the bow and explosive arrows.

I vaguely remember SMS Rambo 3, wasn't it a light gun game, or was it
more Dynamite Duke-ish?

I am still excited to be getting into another apt, with the thought of
breaking out the laptop, hooking it up to the TV and seeing if I can
get three other people to play some 4 player MAME stuff with me.

Yeah, a buddy of mine and I would attempt to beat it on the NES using
the "regen" code(A,B,B,A)...but when you get to the cheap-ass last guy,
the code doesn't work anymore and his fast-ass missiles kill your
slow-moving guys in no time flat. I've yet to ever beat it...

Well, there is Midnight Resistence, the sequel to HB. It's a
side-scrolling shooter that uses the 8-way controller config.

I've always really enjoyed light gun games for some reason or another.
I never have played one on the SMS though. Sad
