guarded by his three most powerful apprentices and a ton of meatshields.
Let's not forget the beholderlike critter, the underground monster, the
wizard battle, the magic items Egg Shen had, the potion (of Heroism, no
doubt) everyone drank, etc.

It's already done. The mistake they haven't learned from is "if it
ain't broke, don't fix it". 3e works just fine, but they can't just

And Chinese Ghost Story (1 and 2) are amongst my favourite movies.
Whenever we play using the Book of Nine Swords I am always reminded of
those awesome battles in those great movies.
