I suppose continuing in this vein can only throw up more things that
you do better than me, but, well, that's your lookout.

This is already handled by the simple strategem of not thinking too
hard about fantasy.

There were the examples of fly, mirror image and improved invis, which
were 10th-16th level spells, and moreover cut down in power from what
they were in 3E.

Mirror Image was 10+?

No, I'm just waiting for you to demonstrate the ability to do anything
better than me, since that's about the only claim you've ever made, and yet
it has never actually materialized.

Rather sad, when nobody else has ever seen the one thing you claim to be
good at.

who gets to move the other.

Oh no, you just open your mind full throttle and channel in direct
mind-union with the fantasy world plane.

It took me two readings of that to even figure out what the
hell the power actually was. Wink I take it that "slide" is a
move that provokes no AoO? So what happens is that if the WL
succeeds at invoking this power, then the whole group within
10sq of the WL becomes more "combat mobile", but if he misses
then basically one ally of his choice gets the mobility? So,
the daily power is never entirely wasted, even if he misses?

What does 3[W] mean?

One thing that seems slightly weird to me is that it *sounds*
like slide is invoked by the player whose turn it is - does
that allow you to decide the movement of other party members?
I think I would find that very weird and wrong, and I certainly
wouldn't want it to be the cause of a bunch of meta-game
discussion. Or, does slide work by giving the other party
member a free move? I.e. "Groth, I'm invoking slide on you,
move yourself 1 sq."

I got the impression 3 x weapon dice damage.

If you read the descriptive text, the warlord is describe as an
altruist, spending their powers for the benefit of the other party
members.

I just coincidentally allows the player to control the other players'
characters.

Usually in those power descriptions, the buffed ally *can* perform the
beneficial move, but there is no can, just a description of what the
ally does.

An uncharitable read of this suggests the Warlord can make your
character do things they don't necessarily want to do, and you don't get
a save.

That's where the classic 3rd and 4th level spells will lie, and as
they're probably capping the game just on old 8th level spells while also
weakening high level spellcasters, they've got to ramp things up pretty
slowly from the more powerful 1st level stuff.
