Howdy,
Well, I picked up a squad of 40 metal Grots (at a great price from
a really nice guy at the FLGS) for my fledgling Ork army and I decided
that since there isn't all that much variety in the number of
poses/models I wanted to do something to add some variety. So I picked
up a cheap blister of WFB snotlings and want to add them to some of the
grot models for variety.
My problem is this - the Grots are ment for standard slotta bases, which
means that the grot will typically be right in the middle of the base.
This won't be a problem for some of the snotling figures, but there are
others (I've got 19 snotlings in all) where it would definitely look
better if the Grot was a bit off center so that the two figs on the base
weren't quite so crowded together.
Drilling the hole for the little posts on the bases of the snotling
figures is no problem at all, but I'm trying to figure out if I should
try and make tab holes in non-slotted bases, or if I should cut the tabs
off the bottoms of some of the Grots and pin them to the non-slotted
bases? I'm open to ideas or suggestions on how to make this less work
intensive and still have the Grots securely attached to the bases.
Thanks,
Myr

I'll have you know that I am equivalent to *at least twice* my
bodyweight in Snotlings.
