hmmm maybe you're having port issues. Sometimes firewalls & routers will
block some of the ports used by Xbox live. I wish I could be more helpful
but I'm not that experienced with it. Blocked ports does seem to be a
common problem for many people, in fact I bought a router with a gaming
mode as I couldn't get the ports to stay open on my old router for some
reason. You could have a look here, maybe it will help you
