I have mine set up this way. It's not any different to using vanilla
Mame - you just have Mamewah pointed to the mame32.exe executable rather
than the vanilla mame.exe executable. (I'm not sure if those are the
exact filenames, but you get what I mean).

Hi Capn,

What versions are you using of each program? mame, mame32, mamewah.

I have one source that tells me I must use the older version of
mamewah, 0.97 I think it is. I am currently running 1.61.

My mame32 is mame32fx and my mame is fastmame. The fastmame works fine
through mamewah.

Did you use the mamwwah setup program to acomplish the mame32 setup in
mamewah?

This is on a Win98 MAME setup btw.

Thx,
Al

OK, I will post what I found here for posterity sake.

To run MAME32 through MAMEWAH you need to run ver .97 MAMEWAH. I also
found I needed to create an nms file in order to have my game names
appear properly.

Actually, i run mame32 through mamewah 1.61 just fine. The only problem was that mamewah wouldnt send the filenames in lower case, so i just did the following:

Goto
Code:
http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc/index.html
and download LMOD 1.3
Place LMOD.COM in your mame32 directory
Create a batch file and put the following into it:
@echo off
@SET name=
@echo %1 | LMOD SET name=mame32.exe F:\Games\Roms\Mame\[L].zip -skip_gameinfo -nowindow > run.bat
@call run.bat
@ del /Q run.bat
@%name%
(Change the rom directory to suit you)
Then have the executable in mamewah as the batch file you just created.
EDIT: commandline_format [name]{nodosbox}{nosafelaunch}
Works perfectly for me. Hope this helps.
