There are several very good painters on the group who I am sure will give
advice down the line but here are the basics.
A black undercoat will give a duller finish, useful if the finished colours
will be dark or to simulate fabric.
The white undercoat will give a brighter finish , especially from under reds
and yellows.
Remember your colour wheel, and use complimentary colours, take your time
and have fun is the main thing.
