| So I've grabbed mame32 and downloaded a bunch of roms. I'm having some
good success, but not with 1944. I've put the rom in the rom folder
along with neogeo, but when I audit it doesn't show up as working or
not. Not sure what else to try and am looking for suggestions.

Look for another version of 1944. You might have an update file that is
not complete. There could also be a parent/clone relationship and it
could just need other files. Sorry, this answer isn't too specific, but
perhaps someone else has some info.

It hasn't had ROMs added/changed ever (apart from removing the XOR), so all
I can guess is you have one of the clones but not the parent set. You
should have a 1944.zip with 14 files in it.
Also, 1944 is CPS-2, not Neo Geo. >> Stay informed about: 1944 The Loop Master |

Thanks for the replies. I have one 1944.zip file, from rom-world, but
it has 15 files in it. Another, from romnation, has 17 files. The
rom-world site says the neogeo.zip file is required. Is there a CPS
file I need? Neither file works, or even shows up after auditing. I've
had success auditing other games, so I understand the process. Any
other sites you would suggest downloading 1944 from? >> Stay informed about: 1944 The Loop Master |

Those work for me. Are you sure that you have the latest MAME? It's up to
0.122u7 now.
Also, give your ROMs a scan with ClrMAMEPro (http://www.clrmame.com/) to
see exactly what's wrong. >> Stay informed about: 1944 The Loop Master |

OK, cool. I found a newer version (thought I had the newest) and 1944
seems to work. A couple others stopped though. Bed time now, but I'll
press on tomorrow or this weekend.
