Just a thoughts because your situations are somewhat vague:
Based on the screenshots provided by the OP, the artifacts and
corruption that both you and him see CAN be chalked up to overheating or
failing components. Namely, artifacts like that can happen when VRAM (or
the memory your video card uses to store texture data) is getting poor
ventilation and overheating.
To the OP: Because he is using an onboard video device then this means
that texture data is being pooled on the system memory itself. It's a
tough show to run putting your finger on fault memory modules, so my
advice would be to try to find some spare sticks from a friend or cheap
to try in your system (swapping out the suspect sticks of course). If
not there are memory testers out there that you generally run for a day,
and then you can see if something is amiss.
To Lyle: Obviously the above does not go for you on the count that you
are using an AGP video card, however there is still a chance that the
VRAM is still not up to task to what is being ask and failure is
occuring. Uru is a fairly advanced and powerful game to run, so asking
especially an older TNT2 to run it can be asking a lot. I would suggest
looking on Newegg.com to get a cheap solution and more up-to-date card
with architecture more geared towards current games like Uru. An nVidia
5200, 5700 cannot be more than $50 anymore, and you might even look into
a 6200.
Let me know how it goes.
